CincySeniors.org is operated by the Cincy AI Catalyst (CAIC), a community initiative dedicated to helping older adults in the Greater Cincinnati region learn about and confidently use artificial intelligence tools. We are a non-commercial, community-run project.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

When you fill out a form on our site (newsletter signup, volunteer interest, Town Hall or small group registration), we collect:

• Required: First name, last name, and email address
• Optional: Age range and county / part of town

You are never required to provide optional information, and leaving those fields blank will not affect your ability to sign up.

Information collected automatically

When you visit CincySeniors.org, our web hosting provider may automatically collect standard technical information, including:

• Your IP address (anonymized where possible)

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• The website that referred you to us
• Date and time of your visit

This information is used solely to maintain and improve the website and is not linked to your personal identity.

Information from Cindy AI

When you use our Cindy AI chat assistant, the text of your conversation is sent to our AI processing service to generate a response. We do not store the content of individual chat conversations long-term. Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, or medical record numbers) in the chat.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only for the following purposes:

• To send you the monthly CincySeniors newsletter (if you subscribed)
• To contact you about volunteer opportunities you expressed interest in
• To notify you when a Town Hall or small group session is scheduled near you
• To understand the geographic needs of our community so we can plan events appropriately
• To maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the website

We will never use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose not listed above.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — ever.

We share your information only with the following trusted service providers, strictly for the purposes described above:

• Formspree (formspree.io): Processes and delivers form submissions to our team email. Formspree stores submissions on its servers temporarily. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
• Web hosting provider: Hosts the website files and serves them to your browser.

We may also disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

CincySeniors.org uses a small number of cookies — small text files stored on your device — to improve your experience:

The Cindy AI chat assistant on this website is designed to provide general information about AI tools and local senior resources in Greater Cincinnati. Please be aware:

• Cindy AI may not have complete or current information about every local service or program.
• Responses are generated by an AI model and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
• Always confirm important details — such as hours, eligibility, or availability — directly with the service provider.
• Cindy AI does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice. For such matters, please consult a qualified professional.
• For emergencies, call 911. For crisis support, call or text 988.

10. Children's Privacy

CincySeniors.org is intended for adults aged 60 and older, their families, and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
